Meet Matthew

I'm Matthew, the Bow Tied DJ for Completely Celebrated™ weddings and events. I've been hosting parties since I was a teenager back in Richmond, Virginia. Right out of high school, I got started entertaining local bars and college parties, where I discovered a niche with sorority formals. At the same time, I started working with a live event production company, learning technical skills related to sound, lighting, video, and creative design. after a few years gaining experience, I entertained my first wedding and I was hooked.

I immediately knew that not only did have a talent I needed to share with couples, I learned that I absolutely loved it. So in 2015, started Bow Tied Weddings, the predecessor to Completely Celebrated. By 2017, we were entertaining close to 100 weddings with three associate DJs. When the pandemic struck in 2020, I transitioned back to a solo operation to focus on curating unique wedding experiences.

Now based in Atlanta with my wife, Elizabeth (an amazing wedding photographer) and our dogs, where you'll find us strolling the beltline or hiking along the Chattahoochie. whether I'm entertaining celebrations or plotting the next adventure, I’m all about creating memories along the way.
