The Completely Celebrated Couple

As someone that has been entertaining parties for two decades, its safe to say that I have had my fair share of experiences. I’ve gotten to know so many couples, their wedding parties, the wedding pros they hired, where they like to meet up, and where they traveled to for their honeymoon. There were definitely certain couples that I vibed with more than others. There are several couples that I am still very good friends with to this day, years after they got married. This is surely one of my favorite outcomes.

I’m also at the point where I have limited myself to just twenty weekends per year, primarily between the months of April and October, but I’ll do a warm weather wedding in January or February for the right destination 😉 I really strive to give the right of amount of focus and attention to each couple, I don’t want to over do it, and honestly, I want to have a good work life balance. Being so limited, my aim is to make sure I am the right fit for each couple, just as my couples want to make sure I am the right fit for them. My favorite thing about doing what I do is getting to know a couple by meeting up with them in person a few times, learn more about their dog, and hear how excited they are for their long awaited wedding weekend and honeymoon.

Let’s get this party started

It may be obvious, but the number one priority for my couples is having a fun, memorable experience with their closest friends and family 🎉 A lot of the time, this means they want to keep things simple and party through the night. They may not care too much about elaborate floral displays, high-dollar decor items, or fancy designs, but they sure do want to make the dance party the focal point of their celebration. Within weeks of picking their date and venue, they turn their attention to finding the person that is going to make sure they have an absolute blast on their wedding day, or wedding weekend. Oh hey, that’s me!

Fancy Ballrooms and Iconic Venues

Speaking of picking their venue, they tend to stray away from the sweeping landscapes of rural weddings and opt for fancy ballroom venues in historic urban neighborhoods that have stood the test of time 💒 These iconic venues have built-in decor with the dance floor at the heart of it all. They are often just down the street from a Marriott or are themselves swanky hotels with plenty of rooms for their out of town guests to retire once the festivities conclude.

The center of attention

At least half of the couple likes to be the absolute center of attention. For dinner time, they have their sweetheart table placed in view of every seat in the house and may have plans to make a pitstop at every table for the duration of one upbeat song to snap a quick pic (this is a great time saving idea). To kick things off, they took dance lessons to wow their guests with a choreographed first dance 🕺🏻💃🏾 that may or may not go viral once they get the reel from their videographer. Once the formalities are out of the way, these two are on the dance floor all night long, showing off the dance moves they have been wanting to share ever since they booked their wedding date. They are the couple that everyone follows on Instagram for their stories of debauchery and adventurous reels.

A rowdy weekend with friends

My ideal couple may or may not be the first to get married in their friend group and they want to set the bar high, allowing everyone involved to think outside the box a little. And they’re friends are here for it, ready to take notes. The couple may be the center of attention most of the night, but they don’t mind sharing the spotlight with their friends that can really cut a rug or those that have dance battles in the middle of a dance circle. Our couple comes to wedding planning meetings mentioning their sorority sisters or crazy cousins that are going to have all the song requests 🎶 and tear it up on the dance floor. These rowdy friends and family want to party after the rehearsal, they want to shut the dance floor down on wedding day, and they want to keep it going at the farewell brunch. And guess what, we are here for that!

The world is abundant

Like me, my couples LOVE to travel. They want to jump on an airplane, drop off their bags at a fun hotel or Airbnb, and dive into the rich culture of their next destination. They have crossed the Florida Georgia Line at least once, had two tickets to Paradise, and been a jetplane a time or ten ✈️ They have traveled quite a bit, but they are super pumped for their honeymoon. Whether its a Sandals All-Inclusive Resort in the Caribbean or a ten day trip through Europe exploring the Amalfi Cost or the Greek Isles, these two are ready for an adventure to get their marriage started. If not the first, the honeymoon might be the next thing they book after their wedding entertainment.

Can’t stop, won’t stop

Long after their wedding weekend and honeymoon, our couples want to keep the adventures going with fun date nights, seasonal trips abroad, and epic anniversary celebrations 📅 These two were adventure seekers when they dated and they want to continue being adventurous in their marriage.

Bonus points

  1. You are that one friend that plans all the adventures.

  2. You booked your venue because it was in a show or movie you love.

  3. Your favorite songs have the most explicit lyrics.

  4. You have seen the sunset on the Caribbean Sea.

  5. You know all the words to Look at Me Now.

If any of this struck any chords, we should definitely connect. Dance into my DMs or fill out our inquiry form to schedule our first consultation so we can get this party started!
